It just 6 simple ingredients to make Middle Easter Cannellini pate: cannellini beans, olive oil, flat leaf parsley, garlic, lemon and Zataar.
Zaatar is a spice mix using middle-eastern herbs and spices such as sesame seeds, sumac cumin and oregano. It gives the pate its spiciness.
The herbs give it a summer fresh flavour and you can substitute coriander for flat leaf parsley for a different taste.
Throw everything in the blender and it’s ready in minutes.

Serve the Middle Eastern Cannellini Pate with a simple salad such as this one made with chopped spinach, fresh mint and jullienned cucumber. Add a squeeze of lemon and a drizzle of olive oil. Throw on some chickpeas roasted in olive oil, cumin and paprika.

Ingredients
- 1 tin Cannellini Beans
- 1 clove Garlic
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1/2 Lemon, squeezed
- 1 handful Flat leaf parsley
- 1 tsp Zaatar
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a food processor and blend until smooth
- Season to taste
